PERSPECTIVO
Perspectivo creates meaningful networks around your goals, giving people instant access to collective experience and potential collaborators who have been where they want to go.
- Founding team member shaping the full product vision and strategy from an early-stage concept.
- Defined and owned the product direction and UX.
- Boosted retention from less than 10% to over 30% and increased engagement from under 1 minute to ~9 minutes.
- Led the transition from concept to prototype to scalable MVP, integrating continuous research and rapid iteration.

THE CHALLENGE
CAPTURING AND PRESERVING HUMAN EXPERIENCE
As a founding member, I helped shape Perspectivo from its earliest concept. The founders had a compelling vision: preserve collective human experience and make it usable for anyone pursuing a goal. Inspiring, but far from product-ready.
The central challenge was translating a philosophical idea into a practical, engaging consumer product.
- How do people contribute their experience in a structured way?
- How should others consume, compare, and act on that experience?
- And how do you build a system that keeps users engaged after their initial contribution?
RESEARCH
POC & USER TESTING
To test how people naturally share experience, we began prototyping immediately. We categorized content into “objectives,” allowing multiple people to add their unique perspective on how to achieve each one.
We ran continuous research using:
- Online user-testing platforms
- One-on-one interviews
- Focus groups and live observation
Through rapid iterations, we discovered the most intuitive way for users to contribute real experience—and just as importantly, the formats that didn’t work.
BUILDING A PRODUCT
SOLVING RETENTION, NOT JUST ENGAGEMENT
Once we saw signals of traction, we launched an MVP targeting bloggers, an audience already motivated to share knowledge. Adoption grew quickly despite having no real marketing budget.
But engagement revealed a clear issue:
Contributors shared their experience, then left.
Consumers browsed content, but had little reason to come back.
This insight shaped Version 2, which focused on giving users a stronger sense of place and identity within each goal.
THE RESULT
IMPACTFUL NETWORKS SURROUNDING GOALS
In the redesigned version of Perspectivo, users could declare their relationship to each goal:
- I want to do this
- I am doingh this
- I have done this
This simple mechanism had a dramatic impact. It created natural networks around each goal. Users instantly understood how to interact with one another. Retention jumped from under 10% to over 30%, and average engagement increased from less than one minute to nine minutes. All of this growth was organic.

WORK METHODOLOGIES
A DESIGN SYSTEM THAT ENABLED RAPID ITERATION
Anticipating growth, we built a robust design system grounded in Atomic Design. Working closely with our development lead, we created a shared library of elements, components, patterns, and templates.
This foundation allowed us to:
- Ship new features faster
- Maintain visual and UX consistency
- Reduce friction between design and development
- Scale the product without multiplying complexity
It became the backbone of the product as the platform evolved.
